Centre for Energy and Environmental Technologies-explorer
The project involved the construction of a new building dedicated to education and research, specifically focused on low-carbon and sustainable energy and environmental technologies, aligned with the principles of circular economy.

The Project
The project involved the construction of a new building dedicated to education and research, specifically focused on low-carbon and sustainable energy and environmental technologies, aligned with the principles of circular economy. Named CEETe, it serves as a university institute for research and development. The building features its own technology laboratories for research & development, employee facilities, as well as meeting and training rooms. It spans four stories and has a built-up area of 1024 square meters.
The Hydronic Challenge
The project prioritised maintaining precise temperature levels in research technology areas. Given the building’s purpose, there was a focus on implementing energy-optimal solutions, ensuring efficient heating and cooling. This involved connecting to a central heat source, cogeneration, integrating cooling units, AHU, FC, heating elements (radiators), hot water systems, as well as incorporating dirt separation and pressure maintenance mechanisms.
The Solution
Our sales team managed to build on strong business ties and excellent cooperation throughout every stage of the implementation chain. In this project as well, we continued our long-term cooperation with the design office and implementation company, all based on the guaranteed and proven quality of our products and the service provided.
Our top products were installed, guaranteeing the highest quality and performance. The entire heating and cooling system was meticulously balanced and tuned to achieve optimal performance while minimising energy consumption. These selected solutions and applications of IMI Hydronic Engineering products ensure precise indoor climate control while reducing overall building energy consumption.
While it is challenging to determine the project’s total value precisely due to multiple orders from various installers and OTC dealers over several years, the project holds substantial value.
