Multi-apartment Heating-Control Upgrade
Wireless residential heating controls and radiator flow management for 44 apartments

Introduction
This project concerns a multi-apartment residential building in Europe. The project objective was to modernise the residential heating controls while keeping affordability central to the project.
The project combines radiator-side flow control with wireless residential heating controls across the apartments.
The Hydronic Challenge
The project required a coordinated control concept extending from radiator flow settings to room thermostats and wireless communication. The system needed to cover multiple residential zones and support communication between the compatible control components.
- Coordinate radiator flow settings with wireless room-temperature control
- Apply the control concept across multiple residential zones
- Connect thermostats, wiring centres and the system hub
- Keep the solution aligned with the project’s cost-sensitive housing context
Solution
Climate Control, a sector of IMI, supported the project with IMI Heimeier Eclipse radiator valves and IMI Heatmiser wireless heating controls. Eclipse provides integrated flow-limiting functionality, allowing the required radiator flow setting to be made directly at the valve.
The room-control package includes IMI Heatmiser neoAir V3 wireless thermostats, UH8-RF V2 wiring centres and a neoHub Mini. IMI Heatmiser Boost V2 repeaters extend communication between compatible thermostats and receivers where required.
Together, the products link radiator flow settings, room-temperature commands and wireless communication within one residential heating-control architecture.
Project Approach
The combined architecture brings radiator flow control and wireless room-temperature management together across the apartments. It provides one system framework while remaining aligned with the project’s affordability requirements.
