Climate Control awarded EcoVadis Gold medal, ranking amongst the top 5% of companies assessed by EcoVadis globally.²

Climate Control achieved a higher EcoVadis medal in 2026, progressing from Silver in 2025 to Gold, in 2026. This assessment places Climate Control among the top 5% of companies rated² by EcoVadis, providing customers with independently assessed sustainability information when assessing Climate Control.

How EcoVadis assesses sustainability performance

EcoVadis assesses the quality of a company’s sustainability management system by reviewing its policies, actions and reported results. Its methodology covers 21 sustainability criteria across four themes: Environment; Labour and Human Rights; Ethics; and Sustainable Procurement. Each assessment is tailored to the company’s activities, size and geographical footprint.³

Why independent sustainability data matters

This gives customers and partners independently assessed information about the sustainability management practices of the organisations they do business with. That visibility is increasingly valuable because obtaining consistent, credible information across complex supply chains can be challenging.

Sustainability is also becoming a more important factor in supplier selection. According to the EcoVadis Sustainable Procurement Barometer 2026 report, 98% of surveyed companies have started embedding environmental, social and governance (ESG) data into their procurement processes.¹

Progress supported by independent assessment

EcoVadis ratings cover more than 150,000 companies across 205 industries and 180 countries.⁴ Gold is awarded to companies performing within the top 5% of all organisations assessed by EcoVadis during the preceding 12 months.²

The medal does not certify individual products or represent an endorsement of a company's products or services. Instead, it recognises the relative strength of the assessed company's sustainability management system at the time of the evaluation.²

“Customers increasingly need to understand not only the performance of the solutions they select, but also the sustainability practices of the organisations behind them. Our progression from Silver to Gold reflects the work taking place across our business and gives customers greater transparency when assessing Climate Control as a supplier and long-term partner.”

Stefano D'Agostino, President of Climate Control.

This distinction is important. Customers increasingly need transparency at both organisational and product level. While the EcoVadis assessment provides insight into how sustainability is managed across the organisation, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) provide standardised, third-party verified information about the environmental impact of individual products across their life cycle. Climate Control has an extensive portfolio of products covered by third-party verified EPDs, helping customers access consistent environmental data that may support product comparisons and building certification requirements. Together, these different sources of information can support more informed supplier and product decisions.

“Our Gold Medal is an important milestone, but the greatest value lies in the improvement behind it,” continued Stefano D'Agostino. “It gives us a clear benchmark while helping us identify where further progress is required. Sustainability performance is not a one-time achievement - it requires continued attention, evidence and measurable action.”

Climate Control intends to use the assessment findings to support the continued development of its sustainability management practices and provide customers and partners with clearer information about its progress.
