  • Products, specifications and article numbers remain unchanged

  • Gradual global rollout with increased use of recycled packaging materials

IMI is introducing a new packaging design across its Climate Control portfolio, aligning product packaging with the company’s updated brand identity following the rebranding announced in 2024. The transformation saw IMI Hydronic Engineering evolve into the Climate Control sector, part of IMI plc, bringing together its hydronic expertise under a unified global IMI brand.

The updated packaging reflects the visual identity of the IMI brand and creates a clearer and more consistent presentation across the Climate Control portfolio, helping customers recognise products more easily across different markets and product categories.

Gradual global rollout

The new purple packaging will appear progressively across the Climate Control portfolio as part of the global rollout, in line with production and distribution planning at the company’s manufacturing sites. The update supports IMI’s broader ambition to continue reimagining climate control.

During the transition period, customers may therefore encounter both the previously used orange design and the new packaging in the market. This phased approach ensures continuity of supply while allowing existing packaging stock to be used before the new design is fully introduced. It also reflects a more sustainable approach by avoiding unnecessary waste, while making the visual transition smoother and helping customers more easily recognise the brand on the distribution shelves, as the new design is progressively introduced.

No changes to products or ordering processes

For installers, distributors and planners, the change primarily affects the visual appearance of the packaging. Product quality, performance and technical specifications remain the same. Article numbers and product references will also remain unchanged, ensuring full technological consistency for customers throughout the transition.

Supporting sustainability ambitions

Alongside the visual update, IMI has also reviewed the materials used for packaging. Wherever possible, the company is transitioning to recycled cardboard packaging solutions as part of its “Better World Boxes” initiative. The aim is to reduce environmental impact while maintaining the protection required for transporting HVAC components.

Customer experience remains the priority

“Packaging plays an important role in how our customers experience the IMI brand. With the introduction of the new packaging design, our priority has been to ensure a smooth transition for customers while maintaining the reliability they expect from our deliveries. Product quality, specifications and ordering processes remain exactly the same – only the visual identity is changing aligned with our refreshed IMI brand,” says Marcella Colombino, Marketing and Commercial Excellence Director, Climate Control at IMI.
